Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

5 day road trip in Oz… quiet secondary country roads with hardly any other cars, beautiful skies, emus/roos/birdlife aplenty, friendly people and comfortable / safe rural town camping grounds… we’re feeling so much more relaxed than before we started the trip!
I love your images fantastic. A different world please keep posting. My misses has relatives in Australia and I in New Zealand but have never been to either and most likely never will unfortunately but it is always great to see real places and not the usual touristy spots. I adore off road back country driving. Good to see the pictorial solution to processing orstorage tanks.

Id like to see more of those dusty corrogated outback roads with crocodile infested deep river crossings (dont try this at home) please @Keith Waterman...the same as we experienced 30 odd years ago in our T2 travelling around Oz...or have things changed since then? 🤠

Went down to Looe for the day had this Range Rover in front for about 2 miles, most of his driving was ok but randomly would get very close to the edges or go onto the other side of the road. I kept my distance and then he hit a kerb his tyre blew I'm glad I kept a bit of a distance as front end still got blasted with stones etc. think he was pissed tbh!!

@T6Hey. What model Autovox camera is that please? It's better picture quality than the Kenwood that I've got.

Thanks KindofBlue… we get a buzz at seeing the other side of the world to where we are too! I had trouble in choosing just 5 photos from the hundreds of great shots that we took in our brief trip… but will post more in our next drive up north!

Yep, crocodiles are still a real risk in the northern coasts and estuaries of Oz. We spotted this monster saltwater croc a year or so ago basking in a river near Port Douglas. It wasn’t long after this photo that the local publican was taken by a croc whilst fishing on a beach at night about 10 km from this spot.1756129884446.webp
