Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

I went to Screwfix the other day.

Turns out it isn't a dating agency after all.
But if it was, it would probably be very efficient. I've now added GSF Car Parts to my (very short) list of retailers that don't boil my pi55.
(The others on the list so far are Screwfix & Toolstation - or as I like to call them, ScrewStation. Others are welcome to apply, but any that display a sign saying they don't tolerate any abuse don't even qualify to apply)

The Stelvio is my number one climb to cycle. Would absolutely love to do that one some day. I would certainly settle for driving it in my van though…and would also do multiple ascents and descents. Rude not to!

Saw loads of nutters cycling up and down these passes while we were away, truly incredible feat, I was worried about the van engine and gearbox on the climbs and the brakes on the descents, they just go on and on for miles. I was pretty fit and cycling a lot a few years ago but even when I was in that condition I don’t think it could make it up those hills or have the balls to go down them. Superhuman!

If a like 48 hairpin turns, so that’s hard going in a van, albeit glorious at the same time I bet.

Been off the bike, due to family ties, over past 18 months but would have given it a good effort before that. Thanks love the fast downhills as much as the climbs but very tricky on those turns. Easier to corner than a car or van though.

Pebble barn farm, Moreton in marsh. Last minute booking as we are going away next weekend and the daughter had her driving test Tuesday morning but as that was cancelled we decided to get away.

Good pitch for the toilets directly in front to the right of the van and for the whiffs from the septic tank which is directly in front. Also paid on site for electric which will work out at around £10 a unit!

But it’s not (currently) raining!

Oh yeah and there were 3 pages of pitch up bookings and when I asked how many pitches they had they said we don’t have pitches just fields and when I asked how many bookings would they accept they replied “as many as we can”.
