Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

We're going to Mull next month, ferries permitting. Off to Arran on Monday, fingers crossed for ferries. Been keeping an eye on the CM app, looks depressing at times with all cancellations
Good luck! I think things are returning to normal. I was due to go from Troon which had the most distruptions.

We changed to go from Ardrossan the other week as that crossing was the lesser of the 2 evils regarding disruptions. Here's hoping its all good for next week !

i used the first come first served ferries at Corran and Lochaline as I did last year, no worries about missing a slot and while its a longer drive, the views make up for it. Enjoy

We're booked to sail from Oban on 6th May. Staying at Salen bay four nights. Hopefully ferries will be back to normal by then 🫤

Back home from a 3 night jaunt, staying in the windiest, wettest, coldest field in Staffordshire (just outside Stoke):

Just getting to and from the shower block was a slippery mess, and a large motorhome had to be towed off its pitch this morning by the site owners, due to lack of grip! One other caravan on site. 2 cars / tents arrived last night and set up in the pishing rain, which gave us some much needed entertainment! Have to say, though, sitting in the van with Mrs.G, with the heater on, a cold beer and a good book (Mark Twain, Around the Equator), I couldn't be happier :)

Had some indoor respite on Tuesday at the fascinating World of Wedgewood factory tour.

Yesterday morning stayed dry long enough for a visit to Monkey Forest at Trentham:

And today we stopped off at Cotebrook Shirehorse Centre near Tarporley on the way home:

When I used to go diving over there, we go little further north get the corran ferry really short crossing, then drive the a681 then turn onto the A684 to the lochaline ferry over to Fishnish on mull.

Had 3 days by the river at Camping Domaine Chateau De Dieupart beautiful campsite with brand new toilet and shower facilities.IMG_0757.webpThen on to Holland to meet friends at their seasonal pitch at Recreatiepark de Meibeek near Ruurlo. On the way there ended up behind a convoy of German plated transporters a T2 a T3 and 2 T 5s added our T6 to the line for about 10k before going separate ways.IMG_0764.webpIMG_0767.webpAlthough their vans were very shiny and our, after 3 months on the road and in need of a good wash, van was lowering the tone.
