Now arrived at Camping de la Forêt, Lourdes. Again, it seems a decent site. Still a bit hot (34 degs) , but luckily it is down to 25 tomorrow, so we’ll do the walk into town for the touristy stuff tomorrow afternoon and night for the procession.

Great view to wake up to this morning though in The Dordogne. Making my coffee and heard what I thought was a balloon burner. I was right.

Staying overnight at the Batemans Brewery campsite Wainfleet St Mary, rather different T2 parked up next to us, saw loads of VW’s of all types heading home from the Skeg Vegas festival

I’m abit disappointed that there’s no Tap room at the brewery, and the shop is only open 2.00 to 4.00 Monday to Friday, but there is a Bateman’s pub up the road

Staying for 2 nights at Belhaven Bay Campsite near Dunbar. Site is small but very nice and a 5 minute walk to the beach. There is a pub not for that we will be trying tomorrow and depending on how hot it gets we might walk the wee shites into town

just stepped in from paris 1 not 1 traffic jam in 10 days in paris but sat for an hour at Dartford crossing

@wilko1979 I know exactly what you mean and we comment on that every time we come home from France. We also used to say that there always seemed to be more roadworks between the tunnel and M25 than we saw in the whole of France on the drive south - that and how long they always seem to take to do it (ie. years rather than weeks). Must be something to do with whatever day of the week it was, there always seemed to be very few people working on them.

We live in Dartford and no matter where we go yorkshire cornwall or wales the journeys always fine until we hit the M25 and it's roadworks or traffic jams it can proper ruin a journey

If they just added two more lanes it would solve the problem

My kitchen bin was full.

Instead of doing something about emptying it I simply slapped another bin next to it.

To my utter surprise that is now full as well and I'm back to square one, albeit poorer because I had to spend 50 quid on the second bin.

I guess a third bin will fix the problem!

The people who struggle with 3 lanes seem to have their minds blown when it goes to 4, I guess because there is no middle lane but it does seem 4 lane roads immediately start to operate like US freeways rather than following UK rules

If more people generally learnt how to drive properly it would help .
M5 last weekend , new driver (displaying a 'P' plate) sat in the outside lane in her Aygo for ages and then when the traffic officer infront put his 'do not pass' sign on and slowed us all down for a rolling stop she decided to dive across to the inside lane and try to undertake him half on the hard shoulder. . WTF!! .

If people moved over into lane 1 it would be a great help years ago some motorway police in some areas would prosecute drivers who travelled in the middle lane for no reason. These days I have seen people enter an quiet motorway off peek and pull right into the 3rd lane for absolutely no discernable reason and just stay their. Many people today seam to believe that the inside No,1 lane is for trucks only weather their are any or not.
