What TV are you watching??

This was <0.5 mile from the depart for stage 11, so they're really bunched-up and not yet racing (départ fictif?)...

Oh, and excuse the Yorkshire wazzock in the audio (that's me!)

That’s a superb surprise outside your hotel. Amazing timing!

I have watched a few stages of the Tour of Britain and that was cool, but this is next level as the volume of riders per team is bigger, so more overall riders.

Thanks for posting that. 😍

I have a grand tour trip on my bucket list. Having Italian background a couple of generations back, it would be the Giro at top of my list. Would love to watch and ride the Stelvio Pass stage!

Great timing indeed and there was a fantastic buzz around the resort.

Our Italian holidays always seem to coincide with Italian sporting events. Back in 2022, we were staying near Venice when AC Milan were crowned Serie A champions. The place went absolutely mental - not much sleep for us or anyone else that night.

Tried watching The Studio last night. Didn't finish Ep1. Never much enjoyed Seth Rogen. Going to try Mobland next, and The Last Ofus (Still trying to figure out what an "Ofus" is actually ) Going to see MI: Final Reckoning on the BIG SCREEN tomorrow - 2 for 1 thanks to a friendly Meerkat!

Working my way through Dept.Q so no spoilers, can see some similarities with Slough House but a bit less humour and a lot more grimness, I keep expecting a Boards of Canada soundtrack.

Halfway through, and loving it.
The ferry terminal where they supposedly boarded the ferry to "Mhor" looked remarkably like Mallaig to me :sneaky:
Looked like Mordor to me, well, the yard where Ilsa Jennings and mullet boy Lyle lived replete with dead seagulls and the hyperbollock chamber of doom.
We watched it and at times it was pretty good but there were definite plot holes, disappointing when you've waded through nine hours of TV and still trying to reconcile what you've watched with the Guardian review.
Don't want to sound like a moron but given the gratuitous violence employed I would rather watch Reacher and know that it's gung ho hokum than Dept Q and the maverick Scottish coppers with an annoying Sassenach leader... it's probably that Ken Stott as Ian Rankins Rebus was my Edinburgh crime datum line, even the recent version last year couldn't match the Ken Stott crumpled rebel.
My favourite Dept.Q character has to be Akkram, all killer no filler that one. 🤓
I suppose I could compare Dept.Q to Slow Horses with their vague similarities but that wouldn't be fair as Slow Horses beats the other one hollow.

There's actually too much to watch at the moment having been confined to the camper and having to enjoy the great outdoors, anyway in no particular order as I've still got to wade through some of these...
Untamed... as we went to Yosemite 20 odd years ago, turns out it isn't actually filmed there 🤕 but does have Eric Bana.
Star Trek, Strange New Worlds season 3... I don't care, I reckon this is the nearest to what I watched as a youngster back in the 60s 🤫
Bookish... as I like the Christmas horror he (Mark Gattis) does for the BBC and you can't beat a bit of retro cosy crime.
Resident Alien season 4... Wasn't an Alan Tudyck fan when he was the pirate in the film Dodgeball but for me this series is properly amusing comfort viewing, you get Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor, Terminator) in there too as a properly menacing government anti alien department leader
Going to have to look on Stan and see if they've got anything new on the go but currently stuff is piling up a bit as Agnes our camper wants to go up the East coast of Scotland in a couple of weeks... getting quite demanding.:p

Loved Resident Alien when it first aired. As you say, proper amusing comfort viewing! Didn't know Series 4 was out. Started watching S3 last night, but couldn't follow it at all, and realised we never even saw S2! Now downloaded, so that's our viewing sorted for a good while :D
Humans on iPlayer is very interesting.

:( The Thursday Murder Club... well they ruined that one.
It was going great and with 15 minutes left to go went completely off the script and rails.🤕
I normally manage to blurt out a spoiler but haven't got the energy after watching Netflix produce their own spoiled version of what should be a cosy crime series.

For the last couple of hours 5 live while ,listening while I worked I worked. I have also used an App to search out Jazz stations around the World and have found many at 320kbps! I do not bother with much at a lower rate. Not lossless but still pretty reasonable. Have been considering an other method of listening as lossless is really the goal. Was waiting for Michi to bring out something but they brought out a CD only player which did not include SACD so will not buy that as I have concentrated on SACD which are a great source of recordings and already have a half decent multiplayer. May well change my Amps, Power and Pre as well as a multiplayer and sign on to Qobuz.

Without wanting to lead anyone astray can't you just "find" flac content online and use your PC as a juke box?
I may or may not have a shed load of such stuff and if I'm entirely honest the audio quality from my PCs soundcard via my Pioneer A/V amp in pure direct stereo mode to my Monitor Audio BX6 floor standers is epic enough sound quality for my 66 yr old earholes.
I don't really listen to jazz as such but have some stuff by Gregory Porter and some Robert Glaspar jazz trio stuff, actually if they're still on YouTube there were some of his live sessions recorded at the Capitol studios.
I'll try to find the link... apologies in advance if it's wrong, as usual...
Blimey, it worked!
