What Have You Bought Today?

Looking to swap my T6 seats to accomodate Golf GTi Mk7 seats, Swapping double passenger swivel seat to single swivel and the drivers as a fixed non swivel at the momment- maybe in future, will see how it goes 1st.
Kiravan swivel base and box unit with TransporterHQ adapter plates.
Feels comfy prior to bolting down in van and will definetly be a much better experience for long journeys etc for passenger ref the fixed back angle. Golf seats have 2 locating pins so i have
Option 1- cut/ grind pins off for a flush fit , the easy option or
Option 2- drill the adapter plate to suit the locating pins, slightly harder option- no engineering workshop, simple hand tools and simple folding work bench for odd bit of wood cutting.
Thoughts welcome Opt1 or Opt2.

Loved my tartan seats in my old mk5 GTI. Great car until both front wings and the boot started to rust badly. Had them treated and resprayed but all came back about 9 months later.

Had to bite the bullet with the sale on. Waking up with creaks and sore boney bits not worth it anymore.Hard as a rock&roll beds. Heard these were pretty good. If your on the look use code SAVE10 on top of the 20% sale. Technically it should have ended.

Cut 'em off.

@StratosFearXX

It is an engine undertray, heavy duty one for my 4mo

While I don't do any hardcore off road driving in the van, it does see some action so wanted to limit the prospect of the AC pump getting damaged
Ah nice, where's you get it from?

Mine's a 4Mo as well, though it's really only for when I get stuck in muddy fields which has happened a few times in the past.

Ok, job done, see pics.
1- main issue is the handbrake plastic fouling on the mk7 seatbelt buckle holder (can only get 2 clicks pulling it on) . Fix would be a handbrake lowering kit, or drilling plate holes 20mm to side to make clearance.
2- other small issue us the seat doesnt centre on the stearing wheel, above drilling would rectify this, liveable not to bad, about 1 inch out.
#2 seen on youtube video so its not me done anything wrong.
As you tube video by others- have to chop down the seat runners on the mk7 units as it would foul the door frame when turning swivel.
Also chopped of the mk7 pin locators.
Cut back the hand pull lever so it doesnt catch on handbrake when swivelling- had to thin it down also as it tapers and plastic pull lever would not fit straight back on. Secured it with a snall self tapping screw in 2.5mm hole.
I also had to slice a notch out of the drivers plate as it was fouling my plastic covers on the quick release battery connectors i have.
My mates handy with that stuff.
All in about 4 hrs it took us to swap em over.
Result- very pleased, defo more comfort for passenger.
Just got to do a cosmetic fix for the inbetween seat floor where studs were removed - thinking of maybe a collapseable drinks holder- Down to allow swivel and up for driving, also double up for a small pug carrier with a diy box to suit.
Glad if this helps anyone as i have had plenty help from thus forum. Cheers.

I'm surprised the adaptor plates don't deal with the offset of driver's seat to steering wheel ... I had GTD seats in my T5 with DIY adapter plates (four lengths of steel bar). Swapped driver's and passenger's over which got rid of the offset.
