I went to buy some boots while I was away , they don't stock my size so instead of offering to get me some (apparently they dont do that) I had to order them myself for delivery . They turned up later than expected, 4 sizes too small , the wrong style and colour and they were ladies not gents .
Then it was down to me to send them back at my cost or take them back to a store for refund ..... and then try the ordering system roulette again ....

They did that to me once.

I ordered a cycle helmet online and they sent the wrong size.

I returned it to the store and they tried to charge me a fee for returning it. They backed down when it reached the point that I was about to start taking hostages.

I have a spare non QR dual power pack available if you need. Any of the EN417 cans with the screw thread will work, c500 are the largest. £30 for 6, Coleman flavour.
The dual kit they sent is for the 'normal' cadacs with the wrong way thread on them. We have a carri chef 50 taking up space in the garage, takes up far too much space in the van though even for my tetris champion wife!

If a grass coloured gas pipe was available I may have tried that. But first time at this festival and having shelled out nearly £500 for the tickets, I really don't want to risk it! Coward? Absolutely!
 
A Renogy 200W folding Solar Panel along with a MC4 to Jackery 8020 cable and a 5M MC4 extension cable (both 10AWG) arrived yesterday morning. I set the panel up the garden with full sunshine and it immediately started charging my Jackery Explorer V2 with 170W showing on it's display which I understand is within acceptable limits (but does make me wonder why they call it a 200W panel!). I've said on here before that I've never been over-impressed with the 5 year old Photonics Universe 160W flexible panel fixed to the roof of the van and in the same light, albeit a different angle, it was chucking 50W into my leisure battery according to the Renogy App - I suspect that's quite poor and does make me wonder how much longer it's got to live. If it does die, I'll have to think carefully before deciding whether or not to replace it.

There are a lot of variables to get the 200w, just like MPG, internet Mbps, electric car range etc. Panel temperature is key as they lose efficiency when hot.

My Renogy 200w flexi mounted to a pop top regularly gets close to 200w and I’ve seen it just over on occasions. The pic below was at 10AM on a sunny July morning last year with the roof down so not even pointing directly at the sun. Happy with that!!

Some chemicals for the Thetford potti - significantly cheaper than Thetford's Aqua Kem and probably the same stuff, but relabelled for Preston Caravans:

The parts / accessories shop there is very well stocked, you could spend hours just browsing (or spending needlessly :whistle:). There's even a cafe, too! Shame their website doesn't detail what they sell.
As for their campervan stock, the only T6.1's still there appear to be the Knaus & Weinsberg coachbuilt motorhomes (very nice too!)

My dilemma…..i put the van in the wife’s name and she put her car in mine …I’ve offered to pay the cheaper road tax on her car…But she point blank refuses to pay for the van…..can’t understand why :rolleyes:

Yet another stealth tax and that’s on top of Sole trader tax changes…..Luckily she’s still working ;)

I bought more insurance for my T6 Kombi conversion. £612.00 after a little negotiating with Howdens Thatcham. I’ve discovered it’s not so easy to insure a campervan that doesn’t conform to the legal definition of a campervan. I’d got a quote for about £100 less from the caravan and Motorhome club but then discovered it needed to be registered as a campervan and I couldn’t add business use to my insurance, only the usual SDP. 🤔
