Webasto Air Top 2000 X1 add-on?

Hi,
I have a 2000 D (diagnosis) that has had a cable with a female connector soldered into one wire of X1.
I see from the manual this is the control unit connection for the combustion and heating air fan, but does anyone have any ideas as to what kind of external thing you would link up to this?

I presume that someone has used that to run the fan when the heater isn't running to provide ventilation only. You can have that function on the newest heaters.

Interesting. But maybe not on a 2001 model?
