Water purification tablets

Does anyone use water purification tablets and if so any recommendations or any to steer clear of ? Cheers

We use Milton to clean the tank, friends of ours use Puri-clean.

I don't know, I was going to give the puri-clean liquid a go myself.

It’s to clean dirty water and a product to flush out the tank

Milton for flushing out a tank, but I have no experience of what to use to make dirty water drinkable.

I dry out the tank after use, use Milton to sterilise it before refilling.

In a previous overlanding vehicle we used a Nature Pure micron filter to make water drinkable.

We use the puriclean granules for the caravan. Word of advice it takes a lot of flushing to get rid of the taste.

I put these into the water tank, but still wouldn’t drink without boiling and taste of chlorine

I use my onboard water tank for washing and washing up mainly and I keep drinking water in 4 x 2L pop bottles in the lower passenger door pocket. In hotter climates (which for me is anything over 18 degrees ) I also keep a 1L bottle in the fridge that's refilled from the others.
As Loz does, I keep the tanks drained and dry when not in use, and flush and purify before each trip. Once a year go for a drive with a half filled waste water tank and drop a dishwasher tablet in it to get sloshed around before draining.
