Vibe Optisound plug and play amp - which version?

I’ve installed Gladen speakers to the OEM head unit in my T6.1 and also included rear speakers. I’ve also sound deadend the doors and door cards. The sound is much improved but would like a bit more ‘umph’ in the way of bass and power. I’ve read the Vibe Optisound plug and play amp is a good upgrade but which version do I need for my T6.1?

There are two versions of the powerbox 65.4 vibe 4 channel 520W. There’s a VW2 (VAG) with a ‘fully populated harness’ and a VW3 with a ‘40 pin populated’ (as per photos) - which do I need?

I also have Bass Habit Play P165 rear speakers Inc the wiring loom. Will I still be able to use these speakers and the loom with loom supplied in the vibe Optisound amp?

Looking at that pic....

It would be the full harness version.

That's what I had.

Here's mine....

See my post on it...

I mounted the amp in the void above the glove box to pocket.

But I had a nightmare fitting in the all the loom. Or was just to right on space.

So I just cut out some of the rear frame to make space.

Been fine for years.

Did you find it a good improvement? Any issues in fitting?
Yes, it's gain only (no other adjustments, but I'm sure you know that) but I feel it drives the speakers a lot better, and volume is much higher as well of course.

I've got Gladens in the front, Hertz in the back.

The sound is still 'coloured' by the output from the standard head unit of course so it's still not quite what I want but it's adequate for now. And vastly better than standard of course.

I also tried the DSP version of the same amp which with some knowledgeable setup could be much better but it was way too complicated for me, ruined my DAB signal, and removed the fader from the head unit.

P.s. no real issues with fitting, lots of cables to hide of course. Amp itself is mounted behind the glove box, didn't have to cut anything.

Should've taken more pictures.

So the vibe amp arrived and it’s now installed and working a treat! I’ve put a few pics below of how/where I fitted everything and it was pretty simple really. I have the base model of the discovery stereo in my T6.1 which when pulled out has plenty of room behind it for the wiring looms and I even managed to mount the amp on top of the stereo. It’s only Velcro on so easy to remove if it causes issues. I managed to pull the majority of the amp loom through a hole in the dash and above the air duct to the left hand side of the stereo. I think if you had a deeper stereo unit you could probably fit the amp in here too.
