Vango tailgate awning review

I have for the first time attempted to fit this awning to the rear of the van and to be honest I'm not impressed.
Maybe not having a pop top might make a difference.
The tunnel part of it is all baggy would fill with water if it rained.
The distance between the straps seems wider than the van so it leaves a big flappy bit on top.
It shows on the vango Web site the sides covering the rear of the van if I moved it away from the van to get rid of the saggy tunnel there would be a gap between van and awning
So as a tailgate awning I don't rate it.
Open to comments if people with one have better fit methods.
As an awning on the side its fine.

Thought it might be - same as ours.

The only time ours has been fitted to the rear of the van was by the convertor during handover. We always intended to use the awning as standalone storage, so it hasnt been a problem for us, but I do remember it looking like a real faff to fit on the rear and that the end result didn't look too impressive either.
