Upgrading Audio

Recently bought a t6 transporter. I'm looking to upgrade the audio system. I want to add speakers to the rear, upgrade the door speakers and add a sub. It's a 17 plate.
Guessing I'll have to change the head unit to run the amp? If so any recommendations?
It's a highline model so has control on the steering wheel, so would I need vcds?
Anything I haven't mentioned that others have come across please feel free to share.

Front/rears/sub/amp is all possible from the factory headunit

Changing the headunit will certainly improve the sound again and give you more control
