Turn off footwell lights?

Any way (other than taking the bulbs out) of turning off the footwell lights in a 6.1?

Whilst converting my van, I’ve noticed them on quite a lot when the sliding door is open. Worried they’ll drain the battery when camping… still can’t understand the overhead buttons for cab lights either to keep the lights off. Buttons in? Buttons out?

No,

Just unplug them for now.

Pop them out or drop the trim and unplug.

Or disconnect the battery NEG if working for an extended time

Aren't the footwell lights LED and auto turn off after around 15 minutes, so not really draining the battery?

They are indeed LED low wattage units that turn off automatically after 15 minutes or so.

Ah right, shouldn’t be a problem then. Better keeping the sliding door open too rather than opening and closing.

The sliding door step light is the last one to get my attention, I can’t understand why a manufacturer has made it so had to have an inconspicuous van at night.
Switch to fit the next time the step is out.
