Number plate lights dimly lit when ignition off

I’m done searching for anything on this - hope someone can point to some “usual suspects”. I noticed tonight that when ignition is off (auto lights) and van locked, the number plate lights remain faintly lit. No idea how long it’s been happening. Only noticeable in the dark with lights off and tailgate open (so lights are more at head height an eyeline is more direct towards the bulb). Not enough light omitted to illuminate anything.

Edit: just been back out (15 mins later?) and both lights are off. Pressed the ‘lock’ button on the key fob and whilst head and tail lights didn’t illuminate (expected) the number plate lights went back to a dim glow. Is this normal? Any one fancy checking theirs while it’s dark?

Potential earth fault?

Regular lamps for number plate. Only recent change is LED in reverse light. SURELY that isn’t connected???

I get this on my 2019 beach. Non led . I think it is standard. I remember looking through the Cali forum at the time. 6 years in and not been an issue.

Mine has done it for 7 years. They light at such a low intensity it could well be capacitively coupled.

Totally normal afaik

Ah, good. I can stop worrying and head scratching now. Thanks everyone. This place is brilliant.
