I've got the Carista Evo, tbh I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to auto electrics, any ideas?

Just in case I am doing something silly (which is normal) @TheGrapeEscape do you mind if I ask you or anyone else, to get the two lights on at the same time, what position is your switch on? Also I've been on my Carista Evo and I can't find out how to re code the lights, any help would be great..

Not quite sure what you mean with position bud.

I have auto lights, so naturally they come on, depending on light conditions/time of day.

On dipped beam, only one set of lights come on. But, high beam, both low and high beam activate

I do have a video further up on this thread showing the functions

Thanks buddy, I also have auto on the switch, I don't know why I was under the assumption that normal driving around town, both lights would be on, as in your photo, I've been trying to copy your photo and even tried putting a dark towel over the light sensor above the interior mirror, but I still can't get both to come on at the same time

Yeah both lights won't come on together while driving, because high beam will blind oncoming motorists

Thanks buddy, but obviously you can use both on a dark country road, I just can't understand why mine won't, I've got no warning lights or faults on the Carista.

@deakycan you spread any light (pardon the pun) on the situation?

What mode needs activation etc to make low and high beam on together?

H4 headlight are coded so that dipped beam turns off when main beam is turned on. This is because the H4 bulb contains both dipped and main beam filaments. If they were both on at the same time for any duration, the bulb would get too hot and blow. I have not experience with Carista, but with VCDS in Central Electrics there is a tick box "Dipped beam forced off with high beam" The box is ticked for H4 headlights and needs to be unticked for H7 or aftermarket twin headlights.

It might be worth adding as well that these Chinese LED headlights differ from the ones that you can buy from THQ in that the THQ ones have 4 dipped beams which in turn change when switched to give 4 main beams.

get carista beta version and you can do it on there beta version

Whoo-Hoo, all you guy's are amazing, both lights now coming on, Carista Beta app did the trick thanks @Madpasty, while I'm on a roll can you please tell me, is it the white allen key fitment on top of the lights that adjusts the headlight to lower it?

Yes mate, you'll see a white tab on each light. I only had to adjust my offside light. I measured against a wall, pressed my headlight switch to correct position, then adjusted

Hi again all, first time driving the van last night with the new headlights, (what a differance) although, can you tell me if your lights have two patterns, one near and one further away, please see photos.

Looks like one is either to high or to low to me

Agreed. Mine have same pattern but are level. You need to lower the higher one

Looking at the pics, I'd say it's the lower one that needs raising.
