Thermo Fleece Insulation. 100mm or 2x 50mm

Hi all!

This weekend it's back to the camper conversion and one question I had which may hopefully help others is the 50mm and 100mm thermo insulation rolls. The 50mm Dodo is available in plentiful supply but the 100mm has been out of stock for ages (other brands available).

My question is for the cavities by the wheel arches where it's recommended to put 100mm in there is it ok to put 2x lots of the 50mm on top of each other to fill this space or should i get some of the EcoFleece (or similar) 100mm to add there and keep the 50mm just for the upper panels?

Unsure if relevant but I've already had a roof fitted so no thermo insulation will be going into the roof - only the sides.

Thanks in advance

I went for the thinner option. Easier to stuff into some of the smaller voids, and you can put two layers where there is space.

B&Q do something similar
If you can find a store with stock.
I used some of this in a cellar recently, it creates a lot of nasty dust, worth having a means of extraction in the van to avoid a long clean up.
