Tailgate camera problems

Hi,
I have been having intermittent problems with my rear camera. It intermittently goes very dim. There is still an image, but very dim. Everything else in the display works well.
It has been getting worse over time and at the moment it only shows a normal picture when I open the tailgate. I think the problem may be a loose connection somewhere.
Does anyone have a diagram of the different connections between the camera and the dashboard? How can the camera be accessed? Any ideas where I can get started diagnosing this?

I found the reversing camera system ("self study program") document and wiring diagrams, but I could don't find info regarding were the actual connectors are or how to access the rear camera. I suppose it is access from the front of the door, removing the trim but I thought I would ask in case someone has a guide or photos somewhere
