T7section??

Mmm. Nah. Too generic. Too long.
What about

**************
Trans Forum
**************

??
DISCLAIMER:
This is NOT meant to adress any sexual orientation.

The name would just be ideally joinining the brother communities of Trans-porter and Trans-it Fans!
:-)
Trans fans or Trans Fans Only 😆

Now theres something I don't wanna Google 🫣

It’s not as simple as changing the domain, google rankings/SEO are obviously a significant factor here, keep in mind I have invested significantly amounts of time and money in T7forum I’m not sure I’m ready to walk away from yet ?
Go with the T7 forum as a separate.
Yes you will loose some folk from here as time goes on and they move to T7’s but on the other hand more folk will join in here who move on from T4/T5 etc. There will be more join here than leave. 👍

The problem with having separate fora is the repository of knowledge. It’s not just about what you own at that moment in time, it’s about your experience and knowledge gained through ownership of any van. Much of the knowledge on here isn’t specific to any one model of Van. Think about all the accrued electrical/solar/tyres/maintenance/campsite/camping knowledge you can find here. If that knowledge then gets spread over different platforms because folk buy a new van and move on, that knowledge goes with them. What you actually want to do, is retain and increase that repository of knowledge in one place.

The knowLedge never goes away because there are more peaple joining in all the time. If the knowledge went away all the other VW transporter forums would be gone. It just all moves along with different ideas being added all the time. A T7 forum would be the same as they become more popular. Forums are a go to place to gain knowledge with whatever you have.

Hi i've this is not acually about the T7 , i'm just trying to get hold of Pauly and saw he was on here last night . I have managed to buy a 2nd set of OEM LED headlights for my T6 and need a loom . If anyone reads this could you ask him to message me so i can buy one off him . ( yes i have tried private messaging him with no joy) Thanks Denzil

And my business partner bought a T7 4motion and it's horrible in pretty much every way , the suspension is both floaty and harsh , it only has 150bhp witch feels really really slow, and is is ugly from every angle . I have only seen about 10 on the road and they seem to fleet vans !!!

Sounds too much like :
Model T forum.
Some won't like it.
And Tx forum is already taken...
Tx was the approach that the German forum took (tx-board.de) and add a new section for each new generation. Has the advantage that it keeps the community together without having fragmented forums per major model release.

In general, I dont get the negativity toward expading the community and am disapointed with the negativity in all honesty. I'd have thought it would be in the interested to build something that is more "VW Transporter" centric. With the attitude that here is only for 6's limits the lifespan of this community. Some people will come but over time the numbers will dwindle until at some point maybe there is a resugence if it becomes a classic.

I spoke to the wife. She says I need to stop being a snob. All T7 owners should be welcome in open forum or have their own subsection at the bottom at the very least. Don't change the name. T6F is the brand and the lifestyle. We are all a family. All welcome! No silly questions! Always someone online to help or redirect etc.

She's obviously right! 😬 #sendhelp

I guess it’s up to the owner … are there T4/5 forums out there …. One for all would be good

My point exactly, keep everything under one roof.

Strategy, I prefer the face of the 6 to the 6.1, which to my eye looks fussy and contrived. I'd happily do a face drop but wont for fear of devaluing it.

I don't think it'd devalue it. Part of me wishes I'd got a 6.1 and done a face drop to a 6.0

Yes, earlier comments are a bit elitist (meant in a friendly way).
Given the mods would be the ones who are responsible for the potential doubling of moderation - completely up to you lot. You do a fantastic job.
I am only on a couple of other forums (non-vehicle) and they are also very well moderated - much appreciated and makes for a less sickening and more informative place to get info.
Unfortunately we have come to a time where moderation is required.

Saying that - having come from earlier version T forum (which was also well moderated and definitely required a sense of humour), it would be good in the future to see what T8.3 users (yes, far in the future when it is time to get a new one cos I'm effing not getting a Ford) are griping about.
Whether that is here - well - am sure we'll cope either way.

As much as I don't like the idea of a whole forum dedicated to broken belts in 3 years time and listening to woes of dealerships not honouring new engine repairs due to people using Halfords screenwash, it would definitely be an education and I am sure the website owners would love all the extra revenue/views.

Interesting times.
Thanks again.

PS -
BuilderJay - :somersault: you are a gentleman and remembered fondly from old forum.

PPS
The one thing I don't like about this forum is that the cookies grow to >45MB. More than even Amazon. What the hell are they tracking?
PPPS
Seems the cookies were from external sites (mostly youtube) that I clicked on from here - so no problem with this forum.
Thanks to Pauly for helping clear this up.

What’s the chance of getting a T7 sub section? Sold my sportline a couple of years ago, moved to a Defender and now in a T7. Didn’t completely abandon the forum and still popped on now and then. Done 1000 miles in 3 weeks inthe new van and it is a nice play to be and I can’t really fault it.
