T6 THQ Full LED Headlights

You think they won’t pass an MOT strictly speaking? What’s your thoughts or reasoning on this?
Headlamp washing and levelling systems are a legal requirement and required if the LED headlamp or high intensity discharge lamp has a luminous intensity exceeding 2,000 lumens.

If the luminous intensity isn’t marked on the lamp, a tester won’t be able to tell if these systems are needed. In this case, the headlamps will be treated as ordinary lamps and the vehicle can be passed as they don’t need washers or levelling devices fitted.
From Gov.com

I didn't know about the second paragraph above, so maybe there's no issue after all.

I've had problems with my led rear lights from THQ, so i put the feelers out to them.

An hour ago i got off the phone to Andy at THQ, he's explained that the full LED headlightd for T6 are now way off being released. He reckons minimum 6 to 12 month wait.

Reason being, they put a post out a few weeks back asking for 3 people with auto headlights to try the headlights for free. 2 vans worked okay but one has developed a fault (bulb warning)

And the other snag, he's also said that because he wants them perfect, they're now debating to only sell them to companies for them to fit for you, they won't sell them on the domestic market for whoever to fit on their driveway :(

At first it was loom issues, and now they're not working with the T6 Canbus properly.

I was going to go down that route but £1000 for headlights is ridiculous. Can’t imagine getting any better result than the HID kit. Plus I prefer the look of all black V3s.

I've heard glowing reviews on the led lights thq. I've also screen shot a user who tried them with great results.

I saw the post asking for van owners to have a free set fitted for testing purposes, with fitting to be done in Braintree.
Travelin-Lite are at Bishop's Stortford aren't they (so a bit along the road) and I thought were going to be the retailer, with THQ only doing supply and fit.

Yeah i volunteered for that, but i think they only picked people closer, but who also had like YouTube channels or 1,000's of followers. I know that urban overland bloke had a set to test.

2 of people people testing them had no problems but one had the problem on start up with the auto dance sequence. The van auto sensor doesn't agree with it

Oh ar yeah that makes sense. It's all about the YouTube these days

Hi all, sounds like THQ are no longer selling their full LED lights even to the trade at the moment…shame as I had my heart set on them😢

Thinking of going down the AliExpress route now…but there are so many reseller choices that I’m a bit baffled! Does anyone know if there are there actually any differences in the product?

I currently have the H4 candles and none of the options seem to suggest they are a direct replacement for these. The below eBay advert (for what looks to be the same from a British reseller) suggests an additional loom is required for replacement of H4s. They’re charging £££ for the resale though… £799 vs £460 - 600 depending on who you buy from off AliExpress.

Pardon our interruption...

I’m probably over thinking this, but any thoughts/ experiences with replacing H4s with these appreciated!

Read further up bud, I've been speaking with Andy at THQ. He's said they had a problem with the bcm sending error codes. They'll be available, but its looking like another year

The ones I got from Aliexpress are awesome. I'll try and find a link if you're interested. Although obvs no guarantees the seller will still be supplying exact same ones.

The best I can do is copy/paste the description. So it should lead you to the same ones.
Open a new account for a fat discount, and delivery is quick. The guy was good and communicative, sending me WhatsApp messages showing their adjustment from a bench setup. They are dialled in for LHD and I forgot to adjust them to the center - they'll go right to center, but not left, he said. Even so, it's not much to the right at all and I've had no complaints. They work with the uppy downy dash dial too.

And, as a member here previously said, you can't adjust left/right once they're installed.
(I mistakenly thought you could, bought the fancy tool and everything)
