T6 Steering Wheel Airbag Cover - Help!!

I have a big crack in my steering wheel air bag cover and just contacted VW to get a replacement and apparently it comes with the airbag for a princely sum of £945!!

Does anyone know where I can either get a new cover (everything else is ok) or an aftermarket version?

No spare cover as it's an integral part of the airbag...

Cheaper option will be ebay or breakers....

Note the airbags can be common across the VAG range.

Let me guess the crack takes a perfectly circular route around the badge then straightens out into a line

This seems to be becoming a slightly common issue, give your dealer some stick they really should be changing it

I've got the same problem and it looks unsightly is it just a matter of unclipping the whole air bag unit and reconnecting the new one .

I've just removed this one from my T6


and installed this one


Trouble is I can't get it to recognise the buttons or paddles.........HELP !

As i understand it, golf wheels wont work out of the box on a T6 - have a read though this for more info - Mfsw - Golf Gtd Mkvii + Dsg Paddles -- How I Done It --
