T6 Sliding door won’t close - latch dropped

Hi,

My sliding door won’t shut! The latch that hooks onto the metal and secures the sliding door has lost the two bolts securing it in place.. no idea how or when but need to find the replacement bolts.

Anyone know what these bolts (circled red) are called? Image taken from someone else’s post but pretty sure theyre the ones holding it in place.

Is it number 29 on this diagram?

No, I think 29 is the striker plate bolts. The 2 pics are for the standard or electric closer. You need the parts in the actual door.

Both sides are the same bolts.

Ok so not 29 on that diagram, makes sense now. I have the standard sliding door, not electric.

Do you know how I’d find out the exact bolt required?

I just checked my van. Assume they are the ones at the rear end of the sliding door as per the photo you posted?
They look pretty specific rather than a bolt you could get from a hardware shop. Best bet is just get a couple from your VW dealership.

thanks! Yeah the rear end of the sliding door, bolts have completely vanished.
