Any reccomendations for insurance companies after modifications have been done, things like wheels, side bars, sportline spoilers front and rear, reupholstering seats in leather etc?

Hi Andrew

You beat me too it was thinking about insurance today! I've just spent circa quite ALOT having some mods and the van is insured with Adrian Flux. I've used them on my defender insurance and they are OK. I called them and I need to take photos and send in receipts etc as the van I would like to think is worth more than the panel van I purchased. My policy lets me do the modifications but I'm guessing now premium will go up!

It will be interesting to see what they value the van at as I know what I've spent! ;-)

Kind Regards

Nick

I've found Brentacre to be competitive and very accommodating with my many modifications. They're definitely worth a call. Good luck.

My golf is with Adrian flux and they ask me for photos every renewal, quite annoying. Got them to quote me the T6, £1800, laughed the girl off the phone, I'm racing towards 50, I went with aviva

My escort cosworth is with adrian flux and yes they ask for photos of the car and milage each year, be interesting to see what the quote is this year

Over £1000 with Adrian flux but they said many of their insurance companies are closed after 5pm, but that's not looking good. I am 43 with +13 yrs no claims and no points....my Q7 was only £330 I was expecting the T6 shuttle to be similar price range.

@andythom188 , regarding your cosworth have a little nose at Peter James insurance, my cover for Porsche is only £220 a year, that's with unlimited milage and guaranteed value ( if worst ever happened) , only had to send some pics and as the value has gone up so has guaranteed value.

Cheers pal how is ya Pedro long time no speak m8

Andy, just an heads up, aviva and possibly others won't take no claims from another vehicle and make you start the van at zero no claims, mine was £550 on a T32 140, but with all the brentacre comments I've read on here I think I will give em a call come renewal

I'm good mate, very busy in work, but just trying to catch up on here, some fantastic looking vans and great ideas now, this forum just goes from strength to strength.
Must admit your van is looking better and better every time I see it mate

Hi I use highway insurance they seem pretty good premium is about £550 fully comp protected ncd.

I phoned a few places and found that Shield Total Insurance was the best. The guy on the phone was brilliant, knew what he was talking about and gave good advice. Adrian Flux was double the price. A Plan is another one that I was recommended, so might be worth a go for you. Good luck!
