T6 Head Unit

Hi all,

I’ve recently bought a T6 and I am absolutely in love with it, can’t wait to get away for some overnight MTB trips.

One small problem is that the touchscreen on the head unit isn’t working. It’s the factory fitted VW screen, and there’s a small amount of screen in the bottom right corner that responds, but everything else is dead. Screen still displays fine though.

Is there any recommendations for what I should do? Is it likely to be fixable (easily) or should I start looking at a replacement, or even upgrade? I have a revering camera on the van, so that would need to be compatible, but ofther than that if it has Apple CarPlay I’m happy!

I know there is a post somewhere guiding you through the DIY repair of a touchscreen by adding an overlay. However this one provides a screw by screw guide with no missing bits to cause confusion. Literally just finished mine and it was a breeze.

Do it correctly and separate the digitiser from the LCD unit and carry out a proper repair
