T6 Dripping ‘wax’!

A mate who isn’t on the forum was driving down to Nice yesterday, “constant 75mph in 38 degrees for a few hours” and when he arrived his handbrake tensioner fell off & the van started dripping ‘wax’ which then solidified as pic. Assume this is some sort of under seal melting in the heat & unrelated to the handbrake? Van is 2019 2.0 biTdi 4motion and sounds like the dripping was from the diff area. Any bright ideas?

That's the internal cavity wax seal stuff.

Probably as you say, just melted out and dripped.

Not sure about the handbrake bit falling off though.

Cheers yes that’s what I thought, handbrake tensioner issue unrelated I expect
