I've had the fault since this Tuesday (10th Feb), and received this email today, however, where is wi-fi option in the infotainment system, how do you activate online mode?
Depends on your head unit whether you have WiFi but I think this will come down over the 3G connection.I've had the fault since this Tuesday (10th Feb), and received this email today, however, where is wi-fi option in the infotainment system, how do you activate online mode??
This !Have you followed the instructions as per the email?
The head unit in my van is the original (21 plate) unit since it was new. As for 3G connection, the email says 2G and 3G networks being switched off,,, all pretty technical and above my understanding. I just want the SOS option turned back on. Surely there's got to be a better response from VW, I've been told that this situation, apparently, has been happening for quite a while now?Depends on your head unit whether you have WiFi but I think this will come down over the 3G connection.
No because the update either hasn’t requested or downloaded yet. On my headunit display there is a globe, I believe this means it’s “online” for this the privacy setting must be set to something other than most secure in the headunit menu.Have you followed the instructions as per the email?
I believe it can take quite a period of time to download, not my experience just Google search offers this opinion.I had an update in the week. When I started the van for a journey it popped up and asked me to download an update, it never asked anything else so I don’t know if it worked or what the update was for. Is there a way to check what it was or if it completed
I had my van scanned yesterday, and was told that the battery was flat, and that there is a shortage of these battery's in the UK. In fact, apparently there aren't any of this type of battery available in the UK at all, at the moment, so I was told yesterday..... Make of that what you will?i had this issue back in november, i deregistered from over the air services via the app and it went away never to return, i have seen other posts elsewhere saying it is the battery cover that causes the issue
There are batteries in the uk, i had mine changed by local garage, TPS parts in northants had 2 in stock...I had my van scanned yesterday, and was told that the battery was flat, and that there is a shortage of these batteries in the UK.
