Hello.
I've got the annoying T6.1 SOS Call Error on my dash. VW have confirmed its the backup battery and quoted me £425.51 for replacement which is slightly melting my head. I'm told it can be reset or cleared using OBD11 and a Pro Subscription?

Is there anyone in the Exeter or Devon area who might be willing to help me out in exchange for beer/cake/other bribery?

Hi, have you sorted the problem? i've got the issue too and have just bought the OBDeleven. I'm trying to work out how to sort it but in Cornwall. If I work it out maybe meet half way...... I'll keep you posted if you're still in need :)

Hi there, like many I have the same issue and VW has said new battery required but I’m not convinced. I’ve looked at the many OBD 11’s on the market and it’s left me somewhat confused as to what model/version I need to try and reset the issue 🤦🏻‍♂️
Would you be able to advise which model of OBD you have that has reset the issue? My van is a 2021 model . Thanks ever so much 👍

Hi, I got the OBDEleven 3 Pro pack (£111 ish). Once you get that you link up with your van and search telematics. Mine said battery still had 90% charge. I erased history and reset. Fault hasnt come back.

Just a Quick update, I got the OBD eleven 3 pro pack, and yes!!! Success 👍 worked a treat and has cleared the SOS fault. Drove 2 1/2 hour road trip today with various stops and no warning lights have come back up.
Money well spent and a useful tool to own with these vans I’d say.
Thanks again for all the advice and all those that have posted. Shame VW don’t seem to have all this knowledge that fellow owners do..👏

Hi. Could you confirm that I need the obdeleven pro pack rather than just the basic device in order to reset the sos battery. Thanks Al.

Going with others advice , I went for the Pro Pack model. The difference with the pro pack from what I could see was the ability to go in and make more adjustments over the standard model.
Go on the official OBD eleven website. It’s discounted on there at the moment and I paid £106 all in, and Amazon fulfilled the order. I got it within 3 days.👍

A friend with a Carista tried clearing mine but it wouldn’t reset it or show any sos battery info, that might not be the case for everyone though.
The OBD eleven I bought has more options to get in and reset it. My battery showed an 89% health condition, so upon resetting the battery cycle it cleared the warning light and message and put the call button back to green. Hope that’s helpful…

Same here. Just got obdeleven pro and cleared battery history in telematics and all good again. Must say obdeleven looks much more comprehensive than carista

Got same error. Just got ODBeleven.

Says hold to start but does not appear to do anything.

Any advice appreciated.

I had the same- turn ignition off pull the key out and turn on again and fault should have cleared- well mine did anyway! Must admit I held the start button several times and for various amounts of time before I tried this!!!

As above but have Open the bonnet, And have the ignition on but not started when you run the scan.
Reset the battery memory and clear the fault code. Remove OBD , close the bonnet and start up, mine cleared and reverted back to the green SOS light and warning ⚠️ and message disappeared, nothing returned as yet. 👍

Thanks for the advice. Back to green.
