T6.1 DSG illuminated selector

I’ve not seen a 6.1 video but the video on page is the same principle

yes I've studied that a number of times but not seeing where the "heating and twisting" is involved. A little confused, that's all.

It’s the plastic section that sits above the metal shaft part. It needs to be heated and twisted 90 degrees to allow for the different type of lever that has the release button at the top.

Having bought a replacement selector I’ve decided to use a Caravelle lever and sell the Tiguan lever, leather gaiter and manual surround. It will be up for sale soon if anyone is interested.
