T32 Lowering Help

TES2015

New Member
Good morning all!

I’ve recently bought a 2017 T32 and purchased some stance ultra low coil overs to fit.
Please excuse my naivety and ignorance as I’m not mechanically minded but I’ve been reading about the hub mod, is this something that can be done by a local garage or someone more specialised?

looking forward to hearing from you guys!
Thanks
Michael

I don’t think you need to do the hub mod if putting on coil overs.
From what I have seen it is only folk on air, who want to go really really low when aired out, that do the hub mod on T32’s.
@Fish @StudleyGlass as T32 owners running air (I know for def that Fish has done the hub mod, not sure about Jason), are you able to assist?

Hi Davey,

Thanks for the info, I’ll see if any of the other guys get in touch or I’ll touch base with them, would you know if being 4 Motion has any impact on the lowering?

I’d like to go as low as possible, my T5 is on Van Slams at there lowest setting which is 70mm.
The Stance ultra low say they will do 100mm. When I look at the wheels currently I’m not sure if that’s possible?

The hub mod. is not possible on a T32 as they have a different strut to the other models, i believe. Not sure about a 4motion TBH.

I run T30 struts on my T32 so you can pinch a bit more in the way of lows.

Speak to Transporter HQ, they will no the best way to achieve what you want.

Do a Search for hub mod. there are a few threads with some good info.

Hi mate,

thanks for the info, I’ll give Transporters HQ a buzz and see what they say. I did use the search function but it only came up with 2 threads of which mine was one of them?

Thanks
Michael

Not possible to do a HUB mod on T 32 the shocks are different altogether on the bottom mounting bracket . 2 WD or 4 WD all the same . I am developing a Bracket that will do the equivalent of a Hub mod but its a straight bolt on device , Only issue is you need to buy a suspension kit for a T 30 to do it . But its cost effective if buying a new kit . I will be doing the FK coil over kit with the hub brackets at £499.00

Hello everyone,
I’m just about to fit a B14 kit and H&R arb’s to My T6 LWB. Anyone know a short cut to the strut top bolts please ??

I could be talking b*llocks here but i think there is only one way, wipers off, remove the plastic skuttle trim and the rubber seal then you can get access. I didn't need to remove the air box on drivers side but you do need to take out the little black plate. Passenger side didn't take anything else away. I was just a bit careful around the heated screen connection. The hardest part for me was getting the damn wiper arms off.

Doing the arb's with the struts out makes life much easier. Been said here before be careful if you got springs under tension going this job, they are lethal if it all goes wrong.

At least for LHD T32 4Motion can be done without removing scuttle trim. As above no need to remove air box nor battery - just the covering plates. Had to slacken drive shafts approx. 3cm from wheel end - so need to replace the nuts with new ones.

Thanks Kitter, you are 100% correct no way of doing it without removing the windscreen wipers. All done now looks and drives brilliant, I’m a very happy camper
