SOLVED: Loose Bolt for Seat Base

Has anyone had the weld for the nut under the drivers seat that connects it to the black base come loose? I am trying to loosen the bolt to get the top of the seat off but it just keeps spinning and I can't get in to get a decent hold on it to sort it. Any thoughts??

Mine was a countersunk screw with an allen key slot , very hard to see, I thought the weld had broken. Might be worth checking if yours is similar.

The weld went... some grips and some patience allowed me to remove it... a new nut, bolt and instant steal sorted it for good !

I've got a similar problem with one of my bolts connecting the rear of the seat to the base. I think the welded nut is shot and keeps shredding any new bolt I put in. Does anyone know if you can use a tap and die or thread repair kit in the welded nut to fix it?
