Solar panel/second leisure battery

Looking at adding a solar panel to my van, and someone has proposed a second leisure battery and a 60w panel. I know the panel isn't as powerful as most fit on theirs, but do people think it would be sufficient with the second leisure battery? Thanks in advance

I have a 75ah leisure battery and a 100w solar panel - kept the beer cold, lights running, heater going overnight, etc. at Busfest last weekend without problem.

Thanks, sounds like a higher spec panel might be a good idea, but perhaps ok with a second leisure battery.

Depends what you want to do with it really - with 2, say 100ah, batteries, so long as you are not running invertors, etc., you should be able to last several days off grid without solar.

We didn't want to sacrifice storage space for a second battery hence going for a solar panel.

Two batteries plus a solar panel would be good so long as the panel is big enough to charge both.
