Solar Panel Compatibility with a Clayton Power Unit

Please excuse my ignorance on this matter. I am considering getting a Clayton Power LPS II 2500 - 100Ah along with a Solar Panel. I would prefer to get the thin flexi solar panel if possible but have been told that they are not suitable for the Clayton unit and that I would need to get an older rigid and "chunkier" solar panel. Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

The Clayton Power LPS has a built in MPPT controller that will accept any solar panel up to 400w (total) and a maximum voltage of 50V.
It doesn't matter if it is rigid or flexible.

Our LPS is connected to a 270W flexible panel mounted on the poptop

Thanks for confirmation, much appreciated. I wont be going back to that Converter again.
