Smoke Alarm Recommendations

Looking for a discreet smoke alarm for the van. FireAngel Atom is on the radar. I have a diesel hob so no naked flame at the cooker. So thinking an optical sensor would be ok. Would ideally like something unobtrusive and discreet but most importantly, effective and reliable. Any recommendations out there?

The FireAngel Atom is prob the smallest one I've seen.

Not used it in the van. But have one fitted at me parents place.. works well and reliable.

Check out the cavius range
They do smoke, heat and flood alarms (as they are partly aimed at the marine market) and are pretty small

If you have a diesel hob I'd consider a CO alarm too. Especially if you have a night heater.

Thanks chaps. This guy does a review and seems to think they're one of same product under different labels. Interestingly he explains the difference between ionization and optical sensors. But my god, I thought I had some anoraks in the closet. However this guy can string out 20 minutes worth of smoke alarm dissection.................
