Smoke alarms type and location

Hi, what smoke alarms does everyone have in their camper and where exactly are they fixed within the van? I've already got a portable Fire Angel 7-year life CO alarm and was looking at the Cavius 10 year tiny optical smoke alarm, but it does say not to place it in or near a kitchen so that's no good if it's going to go off every time I cook something is it. I want as small an alarm as possible.

I have mine mounted in the pop top so the kids get the annoying flashing light and it’s a dual alarm

I have a Fire Angel smoke alarm positioned on the top of the near side D Pillar, normally where my head (and nostrils) are at when sleeping.
I normally cook with the pop top up or the side door open, no issues.
I just use HD Velcro to hold it in place, the flashing lamp is covered with some tape.

I can’t see why the tiny cavius one wouldn’t be ok then in the same position as yours
