Sliding door rubber seat detached. Help pls.

Hi, my rubber seal at the top of the passenger side sliding door comes loose and I want to fix it. Is there a clip missing here please?
We did have an older Focus with door seal issues but the fix was to glue it in place. But from my pictures, it looks like a clip is missing?

How about masking off and using some spray glue.

Yes, I didn't want to start gluing if there was a simple clip I can purchase. The glue would then permanently remain on seal and metal work.

I thought that seal just pushed on. I can’t get to my van at the moment, but does the seal have metal inside it to help secure it, which can be bent to reduce the size of the slot in the seal that the bodywork pushes into ?

It has no clips it’s just friction fit with the metal in the rubber. Might be worth squashing the rubber together gently with some grips to make it grip the metalwork again.

Well I squeezed the two sides together and it appears to have mostly worked. Thanks!

Yeah, the clips are a metal strip inside the seal itself so it just pushes on.
