If they aren't , I've just changed my tubular side bars as they have become shells of powder coat filled with iron oxide cornflakes.
Bought a set of DST Automotive stainless steel side bars (£176) and had them post them direct to F&M Powder Coating in Preston for black nylon coating to be done. (around £100).
I picked them up at F&M so can't say what the postage would be from there.
I prefer nylon to polyester powder coating, seems a bit more durable.
