Thanks @Calps82, great info and that's a good point about the clearance to be able to swivel from inside to outside and vice versa. Think that's made my mind up and I'll go down the same route.

depending on what size table you go for you might have to offset the mounting point on the underside of the table (I did). That’s where practice with a template came in handy. You might also have to swap the black handle that tightens the table in position for simple butterfly nut which is smaller so the table spins better Without hitting the sliding door pillar. :thumbsup:
 
Thanks for the extra info @Calps82. I've got some old ply off cuts I can use as a template and experiment with before fixing the table top.
