Maybe try the v7 they have a lower seat , or a Ducati scrambler, I have a Desert sled which is high but the others in the range are low and amazingly fun bikes
I’m average height and leg length and can comfortably flat foot (both sides) the V7.

Do MG not do a low seat for the V85? Sure they do low, normal and high for the V7 and I’d say the V85 would be more customisable.

Edit: just checked and it looks like they do. Low ‘comfort’ seat which can be wired for heating too. Drops the height by 2cm. £209 on their website. Part No. 2S002232

Absolutely gutted I’ve been to see the Guzzi at Colwyn bay motorcycles and what a lovely machine it’s a real beauty but when they rolled it out for me to sit on it was a bit to tall for me and I couldn’t put my feet flat on the floor, and with breaking my leg last year I didn’t feel confident sitting on it at all.:cry::cry::(
How tall are you/inside leg length just out of interest, if you don't mind me asking?

Very May West
Should have said very Mae West! I remember a film when she asked a man how tall he was 6foot 7inches mam and

she replied "Never mind about the six feet. Let's talk about the seven inches."

i just looked her up and some of her quotes, quite outrageous for the times and full of intent when they where aired on TV along time ago. I was probably a teenager or certainly a young man and had never seen anything on TV like it. I just could not help with the comparison. She certainly had many one liners.

I’m 5-11 32 inside leg and dress on the right.😂

Right not giving up on this going home on Sunday from our static picking up my biking gear and booked a test ride on the Guzzi for Monday morning and fingers crossed.🤞
I’m about the same height and leg length (maybe an extra inch on the legs) and I certainly wouldn’t want the V7 any smaller. I’m considering the high seat for it. It’s fine for two hours but over two and a half my hips start to gripe. The V7 was never meant to be a tourer though so I don’t mind, gives me an excuse for a cafe stop.

I looked at the V85 at my nearest dealer while mine was in for a service. They were new to the Piaggio group bikes and sorting the showroom so although they had three in stock I couldn’t sit on one as the bikes were rammed in. Couldn’t even walk round them.
I did sit on an Aprillia Tuareg660 which was higher then the V85 from memory. The suspension did sag quite a bit when I got on and I don’t weigh much. So from what I thought looked ridiculously high it actually felt quite manageable when sat on it.
Hopefully the V85 will be a good fit and you have a blast.

Been for a 1 hour test ride this morning through the Welsh hills and the Guzzi was amazing plenty of power, good handling, but when I came to stop especially at junctions with a downwards gradient I struggled with the weight and my feet not touching the floor flat, so sadly it’s a no for the V85TT but what an awesome bike, and I’m gutted.

So you aren't considering the low seat etc that Guzzi do for it??

No I've given up on the idea I’m a slim 75 year old and come to the conclusion I wouldn’t feel safe on it.

Fair enough

Do Moto Guzzi still make out and out road bikes that one had a little bit of enduro about it ?

Yes the V7 stone but all mat finish which I don’t like and there’s the. V7 special with chrome exhaust.
Not a lot to paint on a bike or wrap for that matter would it bean expensive thing to do? Could always buy some platform boots! The other thing is how often do you stop that not what it is for ....

I have the V7 Stone Special Edition - it’s a lovely, very slight metallic, gloss black with red accents and comes with Arrow exhausts which sound amazing.

As they have updated the V7 for this year (with ride-by-wire, 6 axis IMU and cruise control) last years V7s are now discounted.
If you have money to burn the new V7 sport looks good - the pale metallic yellow/green Guzzi have done for a while and it gets twin front discs.
