seatbelt warning sound after seat replaced.

I have recently purchased a VW transporter camper van brand new and the drivers seat had to be changed. Now the seatbelt warning light is sounding even when the seatbelt is plugged in. Question is we have been told just unplug the block from under the seat but will this affect the correct operation of the airbag?

If it’s new, and the seat had to be changed, can’t they just fix the fault?

If I recall correctly, the switch is closed when the seatbelt is buckled meaning that unplugging it wouldn’t fix it.

You can code it out easily and cheaply using Carista, meaning it’ll not beep either way.
