seat heater

Hi

I have T32 on which the seat heaters do not work because the seats are not electrically connected to anything. The controls on the dash work, and the heater pads check through correctly, but there is no wiring to the underseat connector. Can anybody explain this? I hiope someone can - thank you.

Perhaps a previous owner has tried to retro fit them

As a VIP member you can get a build sheet for your van that will tell you exactly which extra’s were on your van from the factory

You will need to take the seat and base out to check for the wire loom under the carpet.

So first things first I had to decide where the amp was going. When I installed the split charge I thought I’d be fitting the amp under the drivers seat. Once I’d removed the drivers seat and dropped the sub box into the base it was clear I wouldn’t be able to fit the amp in there easily.

I decided to remove all the lower dash plastics to see if there was a space I could house the amp.

Thank you everyone. My van is in for service today, and so I'll send pictures tomorrow.

I believe the seats are orignal, They are not mounted on swivels, and there are no disconnected leads in the base (I have only removed the passenger seat so far).

Why would a van have working seat heater controls and heater pads but no wiring to them. It's a mystery
