2017 T6 heater issue

Hi. I have a 2017 T6 with a basic heater control panel - 7E0819045C9B9. Unfortunately I encountered the dreaded common issue with this and the panel broke. I was able to obtain a replacement and had it fitted by my local garage but noticed it didn’t seem right, as air was not coming out of the dashboard vents - only the windscreen and feet vents worked. I have now taken it to a specialist garage who have advised the heater box is damaged and also the new heater control panel to get new parts will be £1200 and labour is £900 as the dashboard needs to come out.

My queries are

1) I don’t know the part number for the heater box to go with the panel. Does anyone know please

2) does anyone know where I can source these parts at a better price.

3) does anyone know what I would need to do to upgrade it all to an A/C system rather than basic unit

4) is there anyone who is a specialist in the Bromley area i could visit to assist in discussing and fitting

You could try these guys who retrofit A/C to transporters. It’s a dash out job so they could probably do the other parts at the same time. Did the specialist say what was wrong with the heater box?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Specialist didn’t say specific just that they found a fault with the heater box which has damaged the new heater control panel
