Reversing Camera vendor.

Hi all,
I’m looking for a retro fit camera system to go on my T6 if anyone can help.

I’ve looked in the forum shop but they are out of stock for the Barn Door which is the one I require.

Don’t suppose anyone has one for sale??

Also looking for someone to fit & code it please!!

I have to hitch up twice a day every day & I’ve had 2 very lucky escapes so far & only had the van 2 weeks!!!

Hi @Ziggy. I know it’s a pain but it will be well worth just waiting for @Pauly to get the OEM camera back in stock. Have you messaged him directly?
There are equally more and more people with VCDS on the forum now, take a look at the map and identify a yellow flag near to you and approach them for assistance.
My camera is a god send as I frequently tow as well. Love the look on people’s faces at the marinas when you line the tow hitch up perfectly with the ball, stroll out and wind down the jockey wheel to connect it all together. Quite satisfying really. Oh well the simple things

The barn door one wont be coming back in stock have been meaning to remove it, that listing was for a converted tailgate kit so had the static lines on the camera but they line up wrong so i removed them from stock

Yes thats a good shout your going to need an aftermarket solution with out guidelines as the camera will be off centre @Absolut5 are transporter A/V specialists

They come with handle with built in camera plus wiring loom to run to the front.
It will need coding and you must have either discover nav or upgraded media headunit.

No, rear camera is not available as an option from VW on barn doors, you can only order it on a tailgate

Hi,

I am about to buy a T6 Highline with tailgate and have it converted to a camper.
Was thinking whilst its being gutted to get the wiring in place for a reversing camera. I can code it myself as I have VCDS and have found the coding on this forum already (thanks!)
Any recommendations where I can source the OEM camera parts (camera and the loom)
I have a LWB version so is there a difference in the kit needed?

there does seem to be a long version which I guess is for the LWB.

Hi all, apologies that this has been done before, but they seem a few years old.

I have a 2019, 68 plate Caravelle that I want to install a rear camera or have someone do it.
My questions are, can I just plug and play with my current head unit, it’s the one with a dual card reader?
Do I have to ‘make a hole’ in between the number plate lights to install the camera?
Where would I buy the installation kit, OEM or the polish option

Any hints or tips, I installed a Pioneer head unit and rear camera on my T5.1, tailgate, Caravelle, it seems the same operation for the T6????

I got a kit from Absolut5 on here for my Caravelle. I didn't fit it myself but it took the bloke about an hour to do and was still cheaper than buying the kit alone from elsewhere,
