Retro fit OEM reverse camera install query

@Pauly @Absolut5 @Dav-Tec please see the reply from my installer. Is this the case? My unit is a 5C0035680E model.

They have fitted this

This kit allows the user to rear-view camera input onto the VW factory screen. Helps spot low level objects or parking in tight spaces.

If that part number is correct you should have discover media without DAB fitted. If that's the case I see no reason why they couldn't fit a factory camera

Ok. Either way I see no reason why the didn't fit an OEM camera

sorry guys one last question. My Discovery Media Unit 5C0035680E. Correct me if I’m wrong but l believe this head unit has the 5F unit inbuilt and not in a separate unit located within the glovebox as they have said. The glovebox units are more old tech?
I have replied to the installer with a robust email and options for a way forward. I have also contacted Trading Standards and my insurance legal protection service.
