DPF VCDS value reset issue

Hi all,

I’ve had my DPF and EGR replaced (at great expense ). Van is 278k miles.

I want to reset the values on VCDS ahead of a very long European trip.

I’ve attached a video link to my YouTube resetting it using VCDS instruction. I put the security code in correctly, it’s accepts it, then I go to adaptation and reset the value to 1. It then errors showing I need security access.

Have a google for security codes for your van model/year/module
There are sometimes more than one code and certain codes only allow certain functions

Hi Pauly,

I found this post on VW Vortex, which may be helpful for us all.

But the other engine code does not work for me that’s on that site.
