Powerstation charged by battery

Hi, I've had a little search but am still unsure. So I fried my inverter which was linked up to the leisure battery. I have received a Bluetti 100v2 powerstation.
Is it possible to hook the system up in a way to charge the powerstaion up from the leisure battery? I'm not to clued up on how the van is wired, I bought it completed. It has a solar panel and the main battery charging up the leisure battery as far as I know.

Thanks. What I'm sort of getting at is how to go about it. Can I utilise the termials from the inverter in some way?

Earlier you said the inverter is kaput so I'm guessing you mean the cables that feed your inverter. Without a switch (or other device to interrupt the feed) your leisure battery will be permanently trying to charge the Bluetti. This is probably undesirable as your leisure battery will kill itself trying to satisfy the load.

Also, you need to consider if your DC-DC charging unit will support the load of charging your leisure battery and the Bluetti while the enging is running.

Summary: it can be done with the right kit.

You can get a 12v plug lead that will connect the bluetti to the LB.

Assuming you have a 12v outlet?

If not, then a 12v fuse box .... A fused cable to the bluetti, is it xT30 or xt60 connection?

@Dellmassive Many thanks for the reply. It's an xt60 connection to charge the unit. The 12v outlet on the unit works the other way unfortunatley. I was just looking at the option of using the existing cables that came for the inverter as all the electrics are below a cupboard, the live termnial is fairly rammed.

I had seen these cable indeed , but was looking into utiliseing the power station in a way with the leisure battery. Bascially taking the place of the inverter, so when using the power station I could use the charge of the leisure battery and solar panel to top up the unit again?

That's what I do really currently, solar charging the leisure battery then bluetti plugged in via that cable to charge. Not the best charge but does the job currently

This cable goes into the vans 12v socket on the dash?

Mind that the plug on the cigarette socket lead supplied gets very hot in use. Bluetti sent a new lead, but no different.

Ah perfect, I get what your saying now. Yes I have a 12v socket in the rear beside a usb point.Not even sure why I never even thought of it. This will suffice me the very best. Problem solved.

But the charge is a slow rate.

It's limited to around 8A due to the type of socket/plyg... It's will get hot as above.

It's not the best connection for this type of thing.

You are better off using a wired connection to xt60.

I used the Anderson SB50 on my ecoflow power banks.

As we all know these packs can only be 100w slow charged from 12v,

well i say SLOW, but in no way is it actually SLOW, 8A and 100W is a lot of power.

but,

when compared to mains 600w or 1500W fast charge, 100w does seem slow.

The problem is that all these devices have to limit the 12v input to 100w 8A as at this point the 12v plug/socket combo gets vey HOT.


this is all due to the small contact area within the plug,

they were never designed to carry this amount of power...

further to this if you want more power than what you can output through a 12v socket you can use something like the Bluetti DC-DC charger. Allows for up to 560w of charging.

Thanks again .Have an array of cables coming in the post. Going to use the existing inverter cables to attatch the anderson fly leads to and a 12v one be handy to have about for mobility.
