I have a LWB t6 and with a poptop. I want to add a wind out awning to the van. What do I need to install this?
Currently I don't have any rail system.
So suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you decided which awning to go for..... dometic or fiamma?

I bought my dometic through Jeff Bowen Awnings which came with correct fixings for a VW Transporter.

however I did have to modify the fixing bracket, due to my pop top, as it is meant to fix in to the roof rack locations.

I shortened the brackets got them powder coated, then rivi bolted and Sikaflexed to the side of the van.

Is that then fitted direct to the van? And not a multi rail.

Looks good, especially the black fittings as I havea black van.

Yep, fixed directly to the van.
I had a T5 with a multi/remio rail and didn’t have a pull out awning attached, but used it to attach a drive away awning which was excellent and it also kept the rain off to.
now our drive away awning attaches to the pull out awning however the rain did get behind the pull out awning so we had to devise away of blocking up the gap, which we have with black foam.

And Thule?...

What poptop have you got fitted as that may determine what brackets / fixings you’re limited to. E.G. SCA take part of the roof channelling space needed for certain fixings.

My roof is a SCA and that’s why I had to modify the bracket, it had to be shortened and new fixing holes, then used an industrial powder coating company to prepare, prime & powder coat.
I did want to mount it to a multi rail as I wanted the awning to fit as close as possible to the van body.
