Awning won't hold in rail

I've recently had a pop top fitted and the installers had to remove my stitches and steel rail and they have replaced it with what I am told is a genuine VW item. The only problem is the kador strip on the stitches and steel awning is slightly too small and quite easily pulls out from the rail.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions/solutions?
Thanks

Buy another strip of kador and slide it in with your existing one. Or use a piece of rope. The extra thickness will stop it pulling out. If you use a drive-away kit you can get strips that have 2 different sizes on one side (4 & 6mm) and you just feed them both into the rail. Works on my rectangular section VW rail.

Right, yes I see what you mean, I've seen the drive away kit but didn't realise both the 4mm and the 6mm went into the rail. I think that will work.
Thanks

Yep, slide the 2 marked below into the rail. Awning into the other side of the figure of 8.

Or just get a single strip like the one below and slide in with your awning kador.
