Recently purchased a SWB and want to fit a wind out awning. I currently have one brand new sitting in the garage that I bought several years ago when we bought a lwb high top T5 but never fitted as there were no suitable brackets for the high top roof. My question is has anyone ever fitted a 3 metre awning instead o the 2.6 metre? If I did it I would fit a third roof bracket but wondered if it had been done before?

When I did mine I was told a 3.0m would not fit in my custom so went for 2.6m... could easily have taken a 3.0m one though! Only thing I can think of is if I was ever going to put down sides then the 2.6m matches in better with rear of passenger door. As for brackets does a 3.0m actually need three? Mine are nowhere near the suggested points and hasn't moved in a couple of years... Can you test fit first without drilling brackets into awning cassette?
