Last week my son and a teammate bike packed the NC500 in five days. I was there for transport up to Inverness and back but only nearby them for photography and any emergencies. I had been buzzed by a Lambo a few times on the second day when heading onwards to Durness then came across these three at Kylesku Bridge. Apparently from an Italian motoring magazine.

Amazing sky today!
Nothing special this week, a few shots shoreside before sailing in 50knot winds at the weekend. My boat still has the covers on as it was to windy for my buddies wife and I crewed for him! at Notts County Sailing Club (as a visitor)

Nice shot of a Kestral. Looks like it's caught a rat
Thanks, I wasn't sure what it was, is it big enough for a rat?
Certainly bigger than a mouse or vole. A Kestral stands about 11inches. I'm pretty sure the back leg that's showing are rat. The only other possible is a water vole, which a fat little creature but it would be surprising as Kestrals usually hunt over open ground. They work over open pasture and roadside verges a lot.
