Typical !!

I have carried my little X100 around with me in my bag for weeks and not seen much that inspired me to snap away.

Didn't take the bag with the X100 in when we went out on Monday, as we were only going to a couple of shops in town and to the wife's blood donor appointment. Decided to bimble along the seafront as we had a few mins to spare, there was a sea mist meaning wasn't alot to see but spotted this from the van, pulled over and literally snapped it quick with my (ahem) iPhone.

@Morris67. Nice one. We first went to Koh Samui in the early 1990s and it was indeed a paradise. A return trip a few years ago showed that it was still a lovely place but we came to the conclusion that we much preferred the older and less commercialised version. That said, I think that sort of place is becoming increasingly rare across SE Asia nowadays. During the same trip, we also flew to Vietnam from Thailand and there was hardly any real tourist infrastructure there at that time - boy has that changed today!

@Ayjay yeah same we went 5 years ago before the world locked down for COVID and the difference now is plain to see it’s very over the top on tourist tat which is a total shame cos as I said it’s absolute paradise but I suppose the locals on the island are trying to get back what 2 years of no tourists took away during Covid we will go again though

Evenin' all, Fairly long time lurker, short time poster and even shorter time T6 owner. I've been busy reading Dellmassive's How I Done It threads, so only just got round to discovering that this photography thread existed!. In a previous life I used to have a camera in my hand nearly every day and did all my own developing and printing (remember that?). Been going through my digital archive and will drop a few pics in here now. Don't get out much with a camera these days but still enjoy seeing a good photo. There's some crackers in this thread. As someone said earlier the best camera is the one you have with you. I was always taught that the best zoom is your feet and get it right in camera first, before going to the darkroom (computer these days...).

Enjoy, Cheers TCJ.

Now that's a Photography thread! not a random bunch of holiday snaps. Awesome @TeeCeeJay , keep it coming.

 Thanks, @Scruffy , I'll have a look through more folders and maybe scan some prints. That first lot were all D-SLR and apart from a bit of crop and sharpening there's very little post-processing in them. A virtual pint to you if you can tell what the 'Cosmic Orbs' are...

A couple from the last couple of weeks. The first one was these coos being very inquisitive while I was out walking the dogs. In the second one I was trying to capture the scale of the Torridon mountains above the road winding up Glen Torridon on the NW coast of Scotland but it doesn't come out anything like as dramatic as it is in real life
