Oil Usage

Id assume is burned in cylinder from the cylinder wallls, some possible slight weepage from the turbo bearings? Maybe some from the valve train..... Just orange stuff.

The oil doesn't touch the EGR.... It's just coolant and exhaust gases. Assuming it's now capped off and blocked.....I can't see how that would make a difference in oil usage.

Ah my bad. It's still an outrageous amount of oil to burn for a modern engine.

That's why I got the 150 engine.

The CXEB engine is like that woman who is absolutely dazzling and high-achieving. She's got a fantastic career, always looks impeccable, and turns heads wherever she goes. However, beneath the surface, she might be a bit high-maintenance. There could be the occasional dramatic episode, and keeping everything running smoothly might require a bit more attention and investment. When she's on form, she's brilliant, but you might occasionally find yourself dealing with unexpected "issues".

The VW CXHA diesel engine is more like the reliable and steady woman who is always there for you. She might not be the flashiest or the most attention-grabbing, but she's dependable, consistent, and you know exactly where you stand with her. She quietly gets on with things without any fuss or drama. She's the one you can always count on, the one who provides a solid and trustworthy presence without any unexpected hiccups.

Thinking about it Mrs Dav-Tec must be some sort of Hybrid :think smile bounce:

My chxa engine uses oil I'm roughly getting around 1k miles per l of oil..it has done this since 40k miles i put it down to the egr failing and full of anti freeze but it still keeps on going 220000 miles later it's in for it's 2nd cam belt change

Thanks for this positive post. I'm probably overly worrying. ☺️ I'm planning on keeping mine for a long time so hopefully it keeps on going like yours.
